Thanks for sharing your experience, Flip. I admire your honesty.
I remember reading something once that went along the lines of: "You never learn from your successes, only your mistakes". I'm a great believer in making mistakes as part of the learning process and I think you'll look back on this as valuable experience in the future.
On the other hand, the software you purchased could still turn out to be a fantastic investment and you could earn a fortune from it

I know it could make a bundle. That's why it was so difficult to turn down in the first place and why it took me so long to finally admit that I wasn't at this point yet. There will be another good opportunity that comes along, but I want to be able to look back at this and be proud - not ashamed.

Fair enough, Flip !!
You now know ways to make that up quickly so you'll be fine.
Funny thing I'm realising..... after have the flu twice and a throat infection ect... this year, is that all we need is the willingness to do it. (that was my big realisation whilst lying in bed feeling sorry for myself !!!) 
Actually, I'm quite embarrassed by my lack of trying lately so I'm off to update the blog. One year anniversary coming up for me too !
